Bear Junction – Horseshoe Curve

The most ambitious project undertaken during the club’s pandemic crisis was the enclosure of Bear Junction-Horseshoe Curve.  Proposed by scenery chairman Dave Van Wagoner, the project included the complete enclosure of the western end of the Bear Junction and Keezletown areas.  Due to space and access limitations, the project was conceived in several build phases.  The overall project took about six months to complete.

  • This project was started by scenery chairman Dave Van Wagoner in the Spring of 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • This is the old bridge/crossover at Bear Junction.
  • This is the replacement bridge at Bear Junction.
  • All the trees at Bear Junction & Horseshoe Curve were hand made.
  • The first trees are added.
  • At the 75% completion point.
