SOURCES AND USE OF FUNDS

The Chesapeake Bay & Western Model Railroad Club is classified as a  501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so all gifts are tax deductible. Your contributions to CB&W may be fully tax deductible as provided by Section 170 of the IRS Code (check with your financial advisor). We will provide documentation outlining your donation for your records and tax purposes.  Physical materials can be delivered to the club or you can call us to arrange a pickup.  Financial donations by check, payable to The Chesapeake Bay & Western Model Railroaders,  can be sent to:

Member Dues

Monthly dues paid by club members across all of our membership classifications.

Donations

Financial and physical goods donations from the community.

Events Sales

Revenues generated through sales from white elephant table at Open House events and public auction sites.

Club Expenses

Business Operatons

This includes rents, utilities and other operating expenses necessary to support club operations.

Building Maintenance

All costs associated with maintaining building, interior & exterior, insurance and security.

Layout Maintenance

Costs associated with upkeep and layout improvements, electrical, scenery, track, etc.
